Robert W. Burns, CFP®
Branch Manager | Senior Vice President/Investments
I am passionate about helping people, and I consider myself fortunate to have a career that affords me the opportunity to have a positive influence on my clients. Over my 30-year career, I have sought to make the goals of our clients our purpose by implementing sound investment strategies based on logic over emotion, and structure over prediction, along with discipline, consistency, and patience. I have always believed that knowledge is an important facet of my success. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from California State University, Long Beach, and hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) professional certications. I also continue my education by taking courses, attending conferences, and reading articles and books related to my chosen profession. I am a member of the Estate Planning Council of South Orange County and have served as its president.
Throughout my career, I have enjoyed taking on leadership roles, including serving as a branch manager. In 2008, my team and I joined Stifel with the opening of the San Juan Capistrano office. My leadership role has also been evident in my community activities. In 1991, I became a member of San Clemente Rotary, where I have served in many board positions, including my current role as community service board member. The committee provides students scholarships, leadership training, mentoring, and tutoring opportunities. I am also the chairperson of South Coast Singer's Stars of Tomorrow vocal competition.
My wife, Sandra, and I have lived in San Clemente for more than 25 years and are enjoying our empty-nesters status. We look forward to one day being doting grandparents, but for now, I am content in keeping very busy with my many interests. I am a part-time professional actor and enjoy studying acting, doing improv, singing, and ballroom dancing. I also enjoy gardening, hiking, cooking, movies, and live theater, and lastly, I love spending a lot of time with my friends, family, and clients.
Noah Burns, CFP®
Financial Advisor
I joined the Burns Investment Group in 2013, and it has been a pleasure helping clients pursue their financial goals. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Finance. After working for an investment company in Chicago for three years, I took the opportunity to move back to my hometown of San Clemente and join the Burns Investment Group. Since joining, I've developed a passion for creating investment plans, conducting portfolio assesments, and educating my clients on personal finance and retirement planning.
In my personal time, I enjoy going to the beach, watching hockey, playing games, reading graphic novels, visiting friends, volunteering, and learning new things. In the past few years, I've developed a renewed passion for playing basketball. It was my favorite sport to play as a child, and as an adult, I can respect the discipline it takes to play at an elite level as well as develop the legs and strength to cope with playing the game.
